SCHOOL MATTER

        In a small suburban school, there was enough space for keeping about 20 flower pots in the entrance area. The Headmaster bought them and told the peon to arrange and supervise. Then he asked a teacher to put a notice board so that the students or anyone else would not spoil them by plucking flowers, buds, leaves etc.

 The board said-----

PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THE FLOWER POTS.

Meaning---" Keep away from the flower pots".

       A week went well without any incident.

       After that a,  senior mischievous student managed to cover the word STAY by  pasting an old newspaper and replacing  the word  OF by OUT, so that now it read ---

PLEASE CLEAR OUT THE FLOWER POTS.

         This was towards the closing hours of the school.

         The next day morning, there was no flower pot on the school premises!

A comment- A school is a place where we are taught spellings. However,  the example given above tells us that excessive knowledge of  SPELLING may lead to excessive SPOILING or even to SPILLAGE! 😂 😂
